A major factor in the Dome sound is an ambiance that's totally geared to helping artists achieve their best performance. It takes a combination of technical proficiency, the proper tools, and the right atmosphere to capture the soul of your performance on disc. We're there to help you with every aspect of the recording process, and are willing to work with your engineers and producers in the control room if desired.

Our sound is shaped by our studio, which was acoustically designed for recording, and by our equipment, which includes rare vintage equipment, as well as the latest digital processors. Our Neuman U-47 Tube microphone is widely acknowledged to be among the best sounding models ever produced. Our primary tracking recorder is a Tascam 16 track 1-inch analog tape recorder. In addition we now have full DigiDesign ProTools hard disk recording capability for both Mac and Windows. 

We also use Sony Sound Forge for digital editing and CD Architech for Red Book compliant CD mastering.  We have the acclaimed TC Electronic Finalizer 96 multi-effects processor that is found in many of the top mastering houses. The ease with which it polishes a final mix is truly phenominal.  Not to mention its top-notch digital converters, which may be the most important element in digital production. It allows master processing to be done at a super quality 24 bit 96 Hz sample rate before it is dithered down to the final 16 bit 44.1 Hz CD format.

We have an upright grand piano, digital keyboards and other instruments and amplifiers if needed. We have an extensive collection of microphones and sound processors. We enough room for a large group of singers or a five piece band with a full drum kit. We even have a reception area with a kitchen for your session guests.
